Creating patterns

In Illustrator we practised creating patterns.

Steps to create the book cover below were:

Creating a pattern by scribbling with the pencil tool, select it then choose Object, Pattern, Make. Choose overlapping tiles and change the width and height, click done.  The I created the text and filled it with the pattern created.  I then drew a wedge shape with the pend over the text, selected them both then Object, Envelope Distort, Make with top object.  I then reflected the text by Object, Transform, Reflect.
